铝银浆中含有一定量的挥发性矿物油、添加剂等，以保证其良好的储存稳定性和分散性，所以铝浆的储存要求密闭良好，一个包装在开启后若不能一次性使用完毕，必须立即密封完好，否则与空气接触时间一长，将引起风干氧化导致分散不良、漆膜起粒、发黑返粗。一般情况下，完好的密封包装均能保存一年以上。
铝浆的应用操作，最关键在于分散环节，一般先将铝浆预分散在溶剂中，若加入适当的湿润分散剂，又能浸泡一段时间，然后再慢速搅拌成均匀稀浆状，最后加入配好的漆料中，就可获得最佳的工艺效果。
在预分散铝浆时，常用溶剂一般有:酯类、醚醇类、醇类、芳香类等，其中酯类效果最优。另外还要求溶剂中不含水份，否则铝颜料易与水反应，引起体系的不稳定。铝浆与预分散溶剂比例一般为1:1-1:2.
铝浆在分散过程中，应该避免使用高剪切力进行搅拌，这样容易造成薄铝片的变形，影响外观效果，所以应采用低速慢搅拌方式分散，最佳分散速度及时间应通过试验加以确定。
铝浆对漆料也有一定要求，若漆料酸值偏高，将影响涂料储存稳定性，导致铝颜料发黑返粗。

For dispersion of aluminum paste,the commonly used solvents include*resin, ether,ethanol etc,among which resin rsregarded as the best.The solvent should be free from water.Otherwise the aluminum pigment will react easily with water resulting in instability.The ration between aluminum paste and pre-dispersion solvent is normally 1:1-1:2.
While dispersing aluminum paste,avoid stirring it violently.It may lead to the deformation of the thin slake and spoil the external appearance.Thus thedispersion should be done by stirring slowly.The best dispersion speed should be defined through test
